Sidus Trend Following Trading Strategy is a fairly simple strategy with minimal risks. It is based on a simple moving average with a period of 200 (SMA200) and two custom indicators: Sidus and schaff-trend-cycle (you can download them at the end of the article) intended for trading in the direction of the main trend .

Sidus Trend Following Trading Strategy . Rules of work.
Entry conditions for a long position:
The price should be above the SMA200 line. Sidus indicator should form an up arrow. The schaff-trend-cycle indicator should be completely in the oversold zone beyond the level of 0.00.
We place the stop loss just below the last support level or on the line of the SMA200 indicator (for more conservative traders). Close the position when the price crosses the SMA200 line in the opposite direction (from top to bottom). Another option: take profit set 2-3 times more stop loss. You can use other options for setting take profit.
Conditions for entering a short position:
The price should be below the SMA200 line. The Sidus indicator should form a down arrow. The schaff-trend-cycle indicator should be completely in the overbought zone above the level of 100.00.
We place the stop loss just above the last resistance level or on the line of the SMA200 indicator. Close the position when the price crosses the SMA200 line in the opposite direction (from bottom to top). Another option: take profit is set 2-3 times more than stop loss. You can also use other options for setting take profit.
Consider an example: the currency pair EUR / USD timeframe - H1.
The price is below the SMA200 line. In the period under review, the Sidus and schaff-trend-cycle indicators give us a sell signal three times. The first two deals are closed with a profit of about 500 points each. The third transaction is closed at a loss of 100 points. Total profit amounted to 900 points. To reduce the number of false entries, you should not enter the market when the SMA200 line is horizontal. It is worth the wait when the SMA200 takes an explicit up or down direction. Also pay attention to older time intervals, there are fewer false entries.
